With the Quattroporte—past and present—grand touring is an experience to be savored … at high speeds, in spacious comfort and with breathtaking Maserati style.
Stunning and distinctive, the Maserati Quattroporte is part of a story that spans more than 100 years. It represents a tale of endurance. Of embracing challenge. Of going the distance and winning. And doing it all in audacious Italian style.
Automotive luxury takes on a different meaning in the Quattroporte, a refined luxury sedan with a focus on performance. It is, after all, a Maserati—with a motorsport bloodline and a time-honored grand-touring heritage.
The Quattroporte is available in luxurious GranLusso trim, with enhanced interior refinements that place elegance on full display. Drivers who demand a sharper focus with a sporting edge will find the GranSport trim meets this demand—while remaining true to the essence of luxury grand touring.
As with Ermenegildo Zegna’s impeccable designer clothing, the Quattroporte GranLusso bears a personalized Zegna label, stitched onto each sun visor to distinguish the interior as a work of masterful quality and exclusivity—and to act as a reminder that, within the automotive industry, bespoke silk interiors are unique to Maserati.
Other GranLusso cabin refinements include a wood and leather steering wheel, wood trim, a PIN-number-protected glove compartment, power foot pedals, a power rear sun blind, four-zone climate control and heated rear seats.
Front and rear Sport seats in fine leather are firmly sculpted for optimal body support during even the most spirited drive. The leather Sport steering wheel is ergonomically designed to enhance the feeling of precise control and driving engagement. Long, steering-wheel-mounted gearshift paddles in lightweight, cool-touch aluminum add to the sporting sensation.
High-gloss Piano Black wood trim on the dashboard and stainless-steel Sport pedals complete the sport-inspired image.
The Quattroporte designation is a discreet, dynamic flourish across the dashboard. There, the blue Maserati clock takes pride of place, centrally mounted and encircled by a delicate chrome surround. Ahead of the driver, between the large speedometer and rev counter, a 7-inch TFT display presents essential dynamic data, while at the center of the dash is the advanced and intuitive Maserati 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Located on the center console is a rotary control that operates the touchscreen, along with a convenient storage compartment for phone and accessories.
The seats, upper dashboard and armrests are finished in fine, hand-stitched leather. Extensive trim detailing in genuine open-pore Radica wood, or other optional trims such as carbon fiber, provides a smooth and graceful contrast. The front seats feature 12-way power adjustment and heating, while a memory function reconfigures the driver’s seat, power steering wheel and door mirror positions to one’s precise personal settings.
The advanced design of the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission helps ensure precise gearchanges and optimum performance, putting the power of the Quattroporte engine under your complete control.
Auto-adaptive software modifies shift patterns according to driving style, as the transmission sends power to the rear wheels via a standard mechanical Limited Slip Differential (LSD). This helps ensure superb traction even in challenging situations. Five selectable operating modes—Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport, and ICE (Increased Control & Efficiency)—further refine the driver experience.
The Quattroporte S Q4, with its compact and lightweight Maserati Q4 intelligent all-wheel-drive system, is the perfect choice for drivers who seek the rewards of rear-wheel drive with the back-up traction achieved by driving all four wheels.
The Q4 system continually analyzes six parameters with a sophisticated algorithm that continuously monitors dynamic inputs such as driving style, steering angle, yaw angle, speed, wheel slip and power output. Drive torque from the twin-turbocharged, 424 hp V6 engine is then optimally distributed based on system data.
MTC+: the 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) unit takes pride of place at the center of the Quattroporte dashboard. With a minimum of buttons plus a highly responsive interface, it is designed to help the driver maintain focus on the road ahead. MTC+ can be operated in three ways: via the multi-touchscreen, the rotary control in the central console or through voice commands. MTC+ incorporates the Quattroporte’s multimedia and cabin functions, such as seat heating, ventilation and steering wheel heating.
The state-of-the-art system also supports the convenience of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ mirroring functions 1. In addition, for iPhone® users, Apple’s Siri® system acts as a personal assistant. The Wi-Fi option is another welcome touch when you’re on the move in the Quattroporte. Simply place a SIM card into the WLAN router to access internet signals inside the car 2.
Harman Kardon Premium Sound system: powering this system is a state-of-the-art, 900-watt amplifier, delivering rich and detailed sound quality, whatever the source, be it radio, MP3 player, iPhone® or audio streaming device. The system employs 12 independent channels for superb balance within the car environment.
Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system: this optional entertainment system features 15 speakers that include mid-range drivers and rear woofers made from Kevlar®, each strategically built into the car’s architecture and powered by a 1,280-watt amplifier to deliver immersive sound for all onboard.
Safety
Maserati made safety a top priority when designing the Quattroporte. The Maserati Stability Program (MSP) uses an array of sensors to constantly monitor driving status. It can then deploy a host of safety and performance systems to maintain handling and grip. MSP selectively reduces engine torque and can activate the brakes with finely varied inputs to restore stability within milliseconds.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The Quattroporte can be equipped with an impressively comprehensive range of advanced driving assistance systems. It means even greater peace of mind, whether you’re on an exclusive grand tour or a dash through the city.
A central offering of all Maserati vehicles is the ability to cover long distances, combining dynamic spirt with luxurious refinement—all at high speed. With the Quattroporte S Q4, that power comes from a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and in the GTS from a mighty twin-turbocharged V8, the most powerful engine offered by Maserati.
