1. Types of Personal Information Collected

In general, you can browse the Website without providing personal information. However, in order to use certain features of the Website (e.g. save a car configuration, discover extra content, or receive updates), you will need to register, which requires that you provide us with personal information. Website Usage and Other Online Information

We may collect certain types of internet usage information whenever you visit the Website, such as your click-stream data (for example, the pages you visit and how long you stay on each page), your IP address, and information from cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies. Web beacons are small pieces of data that are embedded in images on the pages of websites. A cookie is a collection of information that gets stored on the hard drive of your computer when browsing the Internet. These small bits of code automatically identify your browser to the Website whenever your computer is used to visit the Website. Cookies also let us know how many people visit the Website and where visitors go on the Website. In addition, cookies can let us know information like how many times a user has been on certain pages. For registered users, cookies can make using the Website easier for you to use by saving information such as your passwords or preferences. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, your browser should contain an option that allows you to disable or delete cookie data at any time. Some areas of the Website, however, may not provide you with a personalized experience if you have disabled the use of cookies.

We may also collect personal information when you connect with us through social networking sites or applications or other public forums (such as chat rooms, discussion boards or blogs) where you may be able to publicly post information or communicate with others. Please refer to the privacy policy and settings of the social networking site or application to determine whether and how you may adjust permissions and manage the interactivity between us and the social networking account or application. The protections described in this Privacy Statement do not apply when you provide information (including personal information) in connection with your use of these social networking sites or applications or other public forums. All the information you post on such sites or applications may be accessible to anyone with Internet access, and any personal information you include in your posting may be read, collected and used by others. Any information you share in a public forum is public information and may be seen or collected by anyone, including third parties that do not adhere to our Privacy Statement.

2. Use of Personal Information

Maserati may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide you with the information or services that you have requested (for example, to provide a quote, to contact you to book a test drive, or to manage and administer our programs including any financing or subvention program) or otherwise respond to your requests or inquiries;
